ADVERSE WEATHER ARRANGEMENT
Typhoons
When typhoons affect Hong Kong, the following arrangements will apply:
*Typhoon Signal
Action to be taken
No. 1 to 3
To operate as normal
Pre-Typhoon Signal No.8 or above
(a) Issued or in force at 7:00am or thereafter
All classes will be cancelled. - The class will be re-scheduled within 3 months of the original class date(s).
(b) Issued when classes are in session
All classes will be immediately suspended for the session. The class will be re-scheduled within 3 months of the original class date(s) subject to actual situation.
*"Typhoons" also refers to "Tropical Cyclones”. Where possible, the Hong Kong Observatory will issue an early alert (i.e. a "Pre-No. 8 Special Announcement") two hours prior to the hoisting of the No. 8 Typhoon Warning Signal.
Rainstorms
When a rainstorm signal is issued, the following arrangements will apply:

AMBER / RED
To operate as normal
BLACK
(a) Issued or in force at 7:00am or thereafter
All classes will be cancelled. - The class will be re-scheduled within 3 months of the original class date(s).
(b) Issued when classes are in
session
All classes should continue until the end of the session if the BLACK signal is still in force, participants should be advised to return home or boarding home only when conditions are safe.
